Martin Short and the cast of Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me celebrated their 100th performance on Sunday, November 12th at 3:00 p.m. at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th St.).

Oscar Award-winning actress Diane Keaton (Short's Father of the Bride co-star) made a special guest appearance as Jiminy Glick's latest celebrity guest interview.  Fame Becomes Me features a book by Martin Short and Daniel Goldfarb (Modern Orthodox), music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (Hairspray), with additional material by Alan Zweibel.  Directed by Wittman, the show began preview performances on Broadway Saturday matinee July 29th and officially opened on Thursday, August 17, 2006 after completing engagements in San Francisco, Toronto and Chicago.

Fame Becomes Me features Short in a" comic performance that guides the audience through an improbable version of his life story. Backed by actors Brooks Ashmanskas, Mary Birdsong, Capathia Jenkins and Donna Vivino playing a wide variety of different characters, both real and imagined, Short's play nearly asks the question, Does an autobiography really have to be true?"
