Phoenix Chorale to Present CORO Y GUITARRA This March

The Grammy award-winning Phoenix Chorale takes audiences to the streets of Buenos Aires and the hills of Andalusia as it performs a lush and exotic concert of Spanish and Latin song.

Coro y Guitarra features the Phoenix Chorale performing the brilliant Romancero Gitano inspired by Frederico García Lorca's Gypsy Ballads as well as Astor Piazzola's shimmering Libertango. The concert features acclaimed classical guitarist Brad Richter, considered one of the most influential classical guitarist working today, with nearly one thousand performances, fifty of which have been featured on NPR's Performance Today.

The GRAMMY-winning Phoenix Chorale, under the direction of Artistic Director Charles Bruffy, is regarded as one of the finest choral ensembles in North America. What began in 1958 as a small study group of singers became a fully professional choir in 1992 made up of Arizona residents: highly educated and trained singers, teachers and professionals. In 2004, the Phoenix Chorale became the first North American choir to record for the U.K.'s prestigious Chandos Records and since then, the Chorale's recordings have earned a total of ten GRAMMY nominations and three GRAMMY wins.
