Parallel Exit to Present MOVE IT!, 6/8

Parallel Exit, New York City's award-winning physical theatre company, presents MOVE IT! - a free opportunity for family audiences to see some of New York's most exciting physical and visual theatre artists. Featuring physical comedy and variety acts from Danny Gardner, Joel Jeske, Watson Kawecki, Harold Moeller, Marcus Monroe, and Ryan VanDenBoom, MOVE IT! will be presented at The Drilling Company Theatre for New Plays on Sunday June 8 at 1:00pm. Tickets are free and may be reserved by emailing mark@parallelexit.net.

Parallel Exit launched MOVE IT! in the fall of 2006 in order to support and promote the work of quality physical theatre artists and companies in New York City. This performance series appears throughout the year to invite audiences to experience the diversity and excitement of physical and visual theatre artists working in dance-theatre, mime, puppetry, clown, and circus.

Parallel Exit, a two-time Drama Desk nomination for Unique Theatrical Experience and a "Spirit of the Fringe" award from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, creates physical theatre inspired by the films of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. The company's goal is to create moments of simple magic that can only be experienced live. Parallel Exit's work has explored a wide range of physical forms, from dance to vaudeville, live-action silent film to tap. The company's most recent production I LOVE BOB was a critic's pick in The New York Times.
