Panic! Productions, the award-winning, Thousand Oaks-based theatre company, spreads its wings with its first production at the NoHo Arts Center in North Hollywood. "Disney's Camp Rock: The Musical," a stage adaptation of the popular Disney Channel movie, will open May 6 and play through May 22. Directed by Broadway and Hollywood veteran Barry Pearl, with choreography by Keenon Hooks and musical direction by Sean Alexander Bart, the high-energy show is being produced for Panic! by Kristi Reed and Paul Panico.

With a book by Robert L. Freedman & Faye Greenberg, based on the original movie script by Dan Berendsen and Karin Gist & Regina Hicks, "Disney's Camp Rock" features music adapted, arranged, orchestrated and produced by David Lawrence. A classic story of rivalry and power, it is the story of friends arriving for another summer at Camp Rock, ready to have the time of their lives, only to discover the flashy, new Camp Star competing across the lake.

"Camp Rock" reunites much of the creative team behind Panic!'s 2015 production of "13: The Musical"-including director Pearl and choreographer Hooks-which played to SRO crowds in Thousand Oaks before moving to the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood. The 28-member cast includes Trae Adair, Mackinnley Balleweg, Hannah Cohen, Batya Conn, Tate Downing, Madison Foreman, Maya Galipeau, Sam Herbert, Justin P. James, Tatum Krainman, Haley Ligsay, Kailee McFerran, Jade McGlynn, Jamie McRae, Allison Martinez, Gabriel Nunag, Jaden O'Neal, Adelle Panico, Elaine Panico, Paul Panico, Zoë Reed, Jenna Shechter, Bailey Stillwell, Scott Strauss, Ashley Kiele Thomas, Noah Varav, Kylie Vincent, and Allison Zatlin.

"Camp Rock" opens Friday, May 6 at 8 pm and continues Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 3 pm through May 22 at the NoHo Arts Center, 11136 Magnolia Blvd., North Hollywood. Tickets are $35/$30 child and senior, with group rates available, and can be purchased at www.panicproductions.brownpapertickets.com.
