Sandra Joseph, who starred as Christine Daae in Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera for over 1,200 performances, will offer the transformational workshop Performing as a Path to Presence as part of Arts Week at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York from July 10-15. The 5-day workshop will help people of all walks of life improve performance, strengthen presence, and overcome fear and self-criticism utilizing tools and techniques employed by professional actors and singers.

Omega Institute, the nation's leading source for wellness and personal growth, describes the workshop as follows:

A good performance-whether on stage or in life-is all about saying "yes" to whatever is happening in the present moment. Broadway star Sandra Joseph, who has performed for millions as the leading lady in The Phantom of the Opera, creates a safe and supportive environment where you can face your obstacles to presence and learn performance techniques to transform your life. Whether you have never gotten up in front of an audience or have been performing for years, you have the opportunity to push yourself out of your comfort zone as you belt out a show tune, perform a monologue, or take a turn at an improv exercise. Utilizing the tools of professional performers-including breathing exercises, meditation, gentle yoga, qigong, vocalization, and visualization-you learn to tame your inner critic, calm nerves, increase confidence, and free your imagination. Individual performance feedback enables you to tap into your unique brilliance, strengthen your voice, and move toward more authenticity, spontaneity, and boldness, on stage and in life.

Sandra will be joined by performance coach Scott Calcagno who is nationally renowned for his engaging, energetic, and informative acting workshops.

Tuition for the workshop is $370. Space is strictly limited to ensure individual feedback. On-campus accommodations are available at a variety of price points. (Rooms sell out quickly.) Three meals a day are included.
