Oyster Mill Playhouse is announcing its first musical of the 2015 season, Jesus Christ Superstar. It is produced with special arrangement by Rodgers and Hammerstein; lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Jesus Christ Superstar will be set against a backdrop of college bullying in OMP's modern interpretation. This beloved rock opera is loosely based on the Gospels' accounts of the last week of Jesus' life beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion. The show has some of the most beautiful and moving music written by Webber, including "I Don't Know How to Love Him," "What's the Buzz," and "King Herod's Song."

Jesus Christ Superstar runs three weekends starting tonight, Feb. 27 and closing on Sunday, Mar. 15. Curtain is 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There is a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Mar. 8 and a 7 p.m. performance on Sunday, Mar. 15. Tickets are $22.00 and they are on sale now. They can be purchased by calling the box office at (717)-737-6768 or through the website, www.oystermill.com.
