Oscar Nominees to Support Oberon Theatre Ensemble's 24/7 Benefit

Golden Globe winners and Academy Award nominees (Birdman Or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) Alexander Dinelaris, Jr. and Nicolás Giacobone join Oberon Theatre Ensemble's (Brad Fryman, Artistic Director) 24/7 Benefit to support its 18th season. 24/7 will feature seven short plays created in 24 hours and presented January 25th at the June Havoc Theater (312 West 36th Street) at 7pm.

Participating playwrights include Christopher Stetson Boal (Order, 23 Knives) - with special guest Andrew Sherman, Steven Fechter (The Woodsman, nominated for The Humanitas Prize), Nicolás Giacobone (Biutiful, Birdman), Neil Koenigsberg (On a Bench, Off the Kings Road), Robin Rice Lichtig, Tommy Nohilly (Blood from a Stone), and multiple Emmy Award winner Jean Passanante. The directors include Alexander Dinelaris, Jr. (The Drawer Boy,Birdman), Don Harvey (Taken 3, Luck), Mark Karafin, Jonathan Lynn (My Cousin Vinny, Yes, Prime Minister), Johnny O'Hara (Bhutto, Fuel), Matthew Rauch (Banshee, The Merchant of Venice), Cara Reichel (Lucille Lortel Award). The cast includes Gabe Bettio, Walter Brandes, Jane Cortney, Dyanne Court, Erin Darke (Still Alice), Jarel Davidow, Brad Fryman, Nancy Georgini, William Tatlock Green, J.J. Kandel, Ted Koch, William Laney, Diánna Martin, Chris McFarland, Paul Niebanck, Linda S.Nelson, Grace Pettijohn, Kate Ross, Christina Russo, Laura Siner, Ryan Tramont, Christine Verleny, Stewart Walker and Jeff Wincott (Sons of Anarchy). The event is hosted by Mac Brydon.

Founded in 1997, Oberon Theatre Ensemble is an Off-Off-Broadway ensemble theatre company. Now entering its 18th season, Oberon has produced 57 full length productions and more than 100 staged readings of original plays. Oberon now has 25 active members and many more regular collaborators, including award winning actors, playwrights, directors and designers. The Oberon Theatre Ensemble is a major player in New York's independent theatre community. Oberon believes in the joy of a well told story, the connection offered by a supportive community, and the magic of the theatre. Oberon actively works to share this magic with others by reaching out to the community, offering discounted student and senior tickets to performances, and creating shows to bring to schools, senior centers, and hospitals.

24/7 will be presented at the June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street, 2nd Floor, between 8th & 9th Ave., Subway: A/C/E or 1/2/3 to 34th street) at 7:00 pm.
