OWN Receives Emmy Nomination for OPRAH'S MASTER CLASS

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network received a Primetime Emmy(R) nomination for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy(R) Awards, announced today by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The nomination is for OWN's popular original series, "Oprah's Master Class." This marks OWN's first series to receive a Primetime Emmy(R) nomination.

Now in its third season, "Oprah's Master Class" was honored with its first nomination in the Outstanding Informational Series or Special category. "Oprah's Master Class" tells the stories you've never heard from the people you thought you knew best. Hand-picked by Oprah Winfrey for their unique impact on the world, true modern masters step forward to share the greatest lessons they've learned along the way. In an intimate setting, they share their successes, their failures, their triumphs, disappointments and heartbreaks. "Oprah's Master Class" offers an unprecedented first-person insight into the brilliant minds of the famous people we love, respect, and admire. The nominated season features masters such as Tom Brokaw, Cindy Crawford, Alicia Keys and Stevie Nicks.

The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony will be broadcast on CBS on Sunday, September 22 at 5 p.m. PT at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles. The 65th Annual Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 15 at 4 p.m. PT at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
