ONE LIFE TO LIVE Suspended 'Indefinitely'

TVGuide reports that Prospect Park has suspended the newly revived sudser ONE LIFE TO LIVE indefinitely while it focuses on a lawsuit filed against the ABC network. Despite the legal issues, writers are reportedly still working on scripts for a second season of fellow daytime drama All My Children. Propsect Park CEO Jeff Kwantinetz told the paper that he hopes to resume production on AMC later this month.

In the lawsuit, Prospect Park claims that ABC deliberately derailed the soap opera by killing off two of its most popular characters, Cole (Van Hughes) and Hope Thornhart (Caitlyn Buton) just prior to the series finale on network TV. ABC defended its creative decision to kill off the characters, claiming that they "acted reasonably and in good faith at all times."
