Now What Theatre has announced its inaugural international tour of the play Kara Sevda. Written by Lisa VillaMil and directed by Kat Haan, the tour will begin performances at the Ithaca Fringe Festival on April 21.

The multi-fringe tour will include stops in Washington DC, Toronto, Tampa, and culminate with a month-long run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Kara Sevda debuted in 2016 as part of the Edinburgh Free Festival Fringe, and has been parlayed into an interNational Theatre Company by graduate students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Kara Sevda is currently booked on a seven city Fringe Festival tour.

The cast and crew of this tour includes Tierney Nolen (Celia), William Foote (Rhys), Kaija Pellinen (Stage Manager & Marketing), Lisa VillaMil (Playwright/Producer) and will see Director Kat Haan step into the shoes of Celia for the Toronto leg of the tour. Ross Somerville will take on Rhys for Toronto and Masa Gibson will be exploring the character in Ithaca.

In Kara Sevda, nuclear winter has descended upon the globe. The last train south out of Paris is boarding. But not everyone will be drawn in the lottery. When Celia and Rhys find themselves awaiting the lottery results on the same bench, they strike up a challenging acquaintance amidst falling bombs and a nameless war, asking the question 'what kind of world do we live in now...' and what happens if they don't catch the train at all?
