Noisy Nest Theatrical Production Company presents "Proof" by David Auburn at the Lounge Theatre in Hollywood. "Proof" opens March 6 and will run Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm through April 12.

David Auburn's "Proof" depicts the story of Catherine who has spent years caring for her genius, yet unstable, father. Upon her father Robert's death, Catherine, alongside her estranged sister Claire, and her father's former pupil Hal, aims to find value and answers in the mathematician's 103 notebooks. "Proof" made its Broadway premiere in 2000 and won the 2001 Tony Award for "Best Play" and Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

"Proof" presents double cast, culled primarily from Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop. Chaz Bono ("Dancing With The Stars," "Dirty," "Becoming Chaz") headlines this cast as Robert, the brilliant and unhinged patriarch of daughters Catherine and Claire. Hope Lauren (MTV's "Faking It", winner Best Actress at Vancouver Web Fest) and Zarah Kulczycki ("Nice Guys") share leading lady duties as Catherine, a young woman drained by years of caring for her ill father and burdened with the demons of her own genius and possible instability.

Rounding out this double cast are Barbara Howlin ("Birds of a Feather") and Patty Miller ("House of Manson") performing the role of Claire. Ashley Murray ("The Screw") and Matthew Grondin ("SafeHouse") alternate as Hal, the unassuming and charming former student of Robert. Skip Pipo ("Suicide Party," "Lady Windemere's Fan") will understudy Bono as Robert.

Of "Proof," Amanda Bird (Founder and Artistic Director of Noisy Nest) states: "Math and I have a strong distaste for each other yet 'Proof' remains one of my favorite plays to date. What I lack in understanding of the content of some of these mathematical conversations, I understand in each character's parallel journeys. Love, understanding (or lack there of), empathy, fear, sorrow and happiness; this I understand. I understand the bond of family and how painful it is to be misunderstood if even for a second. I understand loss and gain, sometimes within the same moment. Throughout the process of producing 'Proof,' my understanding of math may not change but my compassion, pride and belief in the often unrealized strength in families living with mental illnesses will continue to soar."

Performances run at the Lounge Theatre, 6201 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90038, playing March 6, 2015 - April 12, 2015, Friday and Saturday, 8pm and Sunday, 2pm. Tickets: $25 General Admission; $15 Student Tickets. Group Ticket sales contact Amanda@NoisyNest.com.
