Nicolette Hart and Joey Calveri to Star in CABARET at Pentangle Arts

Broadway actors Nicolette Hart (Rent, Legally Blonde, The Wedding Singer, Million Dollar Quartet, Bette Midler World Tour), Joey Calveri (Trip of Love, Rock of Ages, Wonderland), and Tesha Buss (Cats, Gypsy) headline the Pentangle Arts production of CABARET as Sally Bowles, Emcee, and Fraulein Kost, respectively.

The classic Broadway musical opens October 21 at Pentangle Arts, Woodstock Town Hall Theatre in beautiful Woodstock, Vermont. According to director Joey Murray, audiences can expect an immersive, evocative, and highly theatrical production combining talent from Broadway, as well as the finest actors and musicians from the Woodstock theatre community.

CABARET is directed by Joey Murray. Musical direction is by Josh D. Smith, and Choreography by Susan Lamontagne. Set Design by Carl Talent, Costume Design by Tracey Sullivan, Light Design by Janine Woods and Sound Design by Rachel Neubauer. Production Stage Manager is Elizabeth Barnes-Flint.

Joey Murray (director) is a New York City based theatre, concert, and music video director. He is currently Director/Choreographer of the regional touring premiere of POLKADOTS: the musical. As a resident director at Jenny Wiley Theatre, he has directed and choreographed 9 to 5: the musical, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Pinkalicious, and The Velveteen Rabbit: the musical. He recently made his professional debut as a music video director for Element Music and Marianne Bennett Orchestra in New York City. Served as Associate Director for the Broadway-bound production of CAN-CAN at Paper Mill Playhouse, starring Kate Baldwin. His work as a stage and concert director has been seen at regional theaters and major performing art centers all over the United States and China. He is the resident stage director for The Broadway Dolls, an award-winning concert experience featuring a cast of the most in-demand women on Broadway. NY Musical Theatre Festival: Tour de Fierce; Bashert; Under Construction. NYC Fringe Festival: Single Room Occupancy; America's Breath of Fresh Air. Other NYC/regional: Grease at Gateway Playhouse (Associate Director); numerous concerts/readings for New York Theatre Barn, 54 Below, Public Theatre/Joe's Pub, Stage 72, Birdland etc. Provided the book for the Off-Broadway rock musical The Hole (Theatre at St. Clements). Developed and Directed world premiere Kander and Ebb revue City Lights, and 80's rock show Take Me Home for Downstairs Cabaret Theatre in Rochester, NY. Upcoming projects include directing A Charlie Brown Christmas and the Gay Men's Chorus Holiday Production at Hard Rock Live Arena. Graduate Catholic University of America. Studied playwriting and directing at New York University and The Barrow Group. Associate member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
