New York Songwriters Host An Evening of New Musical Theatre Songs

New York based songwriters Nicholas Connors and Michael Wysong will present an evening of their respective work on March 20th at The Duplex in Manhattan. Titled "We Invited Ourselves," the concert will feature music from shows the two have written separately as well as songs they have written together.

Among the guests performing are Kyle Barisich (The Phantom of the Opera), Casey Cott (CW's "Riverdale"), and Molly Griggs (MTC's Linda).

Connors is the winner of the LA Festival of New American Musicals' Show Search for new musical theatre writers. His work has been premiered by various artists, including Karen Olivo, InterMission Theatre, and the University of Wisconsin performing ensembles. Wysong has received several commissions from the University of Kansas where is first musical Love Is... was developed. He recently provided arrangements for the new musical Rock and a Hard Place and has been hired to write book and lyrics for a new adaptation of The Revenger's Tragedy.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, plus a two drink minimum.
