Rape, Rape, Rape, AIDS, AIDS, AIDS, Genocide, Genocide, cats. Like a strong dose of smelling salts mixed with a sugary dessert, this specially curated evening of the show Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind mines the depths of short plays that deal with the very worst life has to offer, paired with the most light-hearted of pet-themed escapism. The New York Neo-Futurists present a deathly serious, absolutely adorable and specially curated 30 Plays in 60 Minutes presented for ONE WEEKEND ONLY, Friday and Saturday, March 29th and 30th, 2013.

Rape, Rape, Rape, AIDS, AIDS, AIDS, Genocide, Genocide, cats. will play March 29th and 30th, all performances at 10:30pm, presented by The New York Neo-Futurists at the Kraine Theatre, 85 East 4th Street. Tickets: $11 plus the roll of a six-sided die ($12-$17). For more information, visit www.nynf.org.

You want pathos? We got it. On the Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind stage, we have addressed topics such as HIV, rape, war, murder, terrorism, abortion, racism and our eroding environment. These plays are written to shake our audiences out of the illusion of being removed from the environment around them, and they are performed with the all the seriousness and sincerity that the subject matter deserves.

You want frivolity? We got that too. Who doesn't love watching a cute little kitty do something so adorable? Isn't it nice to turn your brain off and just relax and think of something so benign as petting a puppy? Do you smell smoke? It's probably nothing... look at that kitty, he's so friggin' cute I just want to eat him up.

Tickets are $11 plus the roll of a six-sided die ($12-$17) at the door. Advance tickets are $17 and can be purchased at www.nynf.org, or by calling 212-352-3101.

Featuring New York Neo-Futurists ensemble members: Cecil Baldwin, Christopher Borg, Jeffrey Cranor, Cara Francis, Nicole Hill, Jacquelyn Landgraf, Dylan Marron, Dan McCoy, Rob Neill, Emma Reeves.

THE NEW YORK NEO-FUTURISTS are an ensemble of dynamic writer/performer/directors who present the critically acclaimed, energetic show of original short plays, Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind--a non-illusory collage of the comic and tragic, the political and personal, the visceral and experimental, while embracing chance, change, and chaos. Developing out of the format that has been a success in Chicago since 1988, the New York Neo-Futurists have roots in NYC from the mid 90's. Since opening TML in New York, they have created over 2600 plays and continue to present new and vital work every weekend in the East Village. For more info:
