New York Live Arts has announced the schedule for Live Artery 2014, a three-day event at New York Live Arts connecting dance and body-based artists with curators, presenters and the public. Presented during the annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference, Live Artery 2014 will feature two full remounts; excerpts from three new works and seven work-in-progress showings of New York Live Arts commissions; along with work-in-progress showings by the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company (New York Live Arts' Resident Dance Company) and Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion (New York Live Arts' Resident Commissioned Artist), offering no less than eleven public events.

Now in its third season, Live Artery fuels a vibrant, nationwide network in support of compelling artists and ideas, providing Live Artery artists an invaluable opportunity to have their work seen by national and international presenters. The annual showcase has presented 18 works thus far (including nine original New York Live Arts commissions), and has included more than 50 artists in its programming.

"With Live Artery we bring, over a three day period, a distinctive group of artists and commissioned works or works-in-development to this city's annual international gathering of artists, presenters and producers," said Carla Peterson, Artistic Director of New York Live Arts. "Through both fully produced and excerpted works that have recently premiered to acclaim during our season and those still in incubation, Live Artery creates an energized, informal and exciting space for gaining insight into these artists' inventive processes. We're inspired by what this year's Live Artery has in store, as it reflects our overall season."

Highlights from the 2014 Live Artery lineup include the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion, Pam Tanowitz, John Jasperse, Beth Gill and Cynthia Hopkins, among others.
