The New York Choral Society (NYCS) returns to Carnegie Hall under the baton of John Daly Goodwin on Wednesday, December 14th at 8pm for "A Joyful Noise." The delightful program includes Poulenc's celebrated Gloria, Verdi's Te Deum for double chorus and orchestra, and the Kyrie and Gloria movements from Puccini's Messa di Gloria. Haydn's buoyant Te Deum, the first piece Maestro Goodwin conducted with the NYCS at Carnegie Hall in 1985, ends with an exhilarating fugue and will open the festive program.

"This Joyful Noise program is a choral music lover's dream," said Mr. Goodwin. "The four works feature the chorus in all its glory, and I can't wait to hear the wonderful voices of the New York Choral Society let loose that glorious sound in in the splendid acoustics of Carnegie Hall."
