An all new SPIDER-MAN spoof will debut at the Blank Theatre Company's 19th Annual Young Playwrights Festival, titled SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE LIGHTS. The show, which is one of twelve productions that will be featured at the four week event, is the brainchild of 17-year old Adam Brodheim from New York City.

The budget for the show is a mere $70, compared to the $70 million spent on the Broadway production. Artistic director Daniel Henning told the LA Times: "In his fun, satiric way, he's asking some very serious questions about how we treat actors."

He added, "We didn't choose it because it's a hot topic, but ultimately because it's a well-constructed play and its ideas and issues are solid."

SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE LIGHTS will play June 16-19. To read the full article, click here.
