"Broadway's Lost Treasures," which has offered a treasure trove of rare Broadway gems in its last two installments, will once again showcase a wealth of Tony Awards clips.

In "Broadway's Lost Treasures III," theatre legends such as Chita Rivera, Zero Mostel, Gwen Verdon, Julie Andrews, Jerry Orbach, Robert Goulet, Ethel Merman, Alfred Drake and Kristin Chenoweth will be seen performing such songs as "America" (West Side Story), "Whatever Lola Wants" (Damn Yankees), "Ol' Man River" (Show Boat), "Comedy Tonight" (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), "Where You Are" (Kiss of the Spiderwoman) and "My New Philosophy" (You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown).

The series is produced by Christopher J. Cohen, the son of Alexander Cohen; the latter produced the Golden Age Tony broadcasts from 1967 to 1986.  The first "Broadway's Lost Treasures" aired in 2003 and was a hit for PBS; it was the top-rated show in the channel's Summer Pledge Drive.  "Broadway's Lost Treasures II" premiered the next year; both are available on DVD.  The DVDs of the series traditionally offer bonus performances that the broadcasts do not.

Broadway's "Lost Treasures III: The Best of the Tony Awards" will air in the metropolitan area on WNET/Thirteen on Sunday, Aug. 7 at 8 PM ET (check local listings), with encore broadcasts airing on August 8th at 12:30 AM, August 9th at midnight, August 9th at 1 PM and August 13th at 8 PM.
