This December New Edgecliff Theatre's (NET) ever-popular radio drama fundraiser "Sweet Suspense" becomes "Season's Sweetings" for the holidays.

The players of fictional WNET radio station return to put their stamp on the holiday classic A Miracle on 34th Street. They bring to life the entire story through dozens of character voices and live Foley sound effects by Media Heritage's Mike Martini. The WNET Radio Players will perform a one-night only event at 7pm, Sunday, December 14 at Northside Tavern. Seating is limited, so order tickets early. This holiday classic features returning NET actors and several new performers, portraying a variety of voice roles for a live studio audience - but not broadcast!

"Radio theatre is a wonderful thing to experience," says artistic director Jim Stump. "The audience gets to actually see sound effects being created, while actors not only perform on microphone, but interact off-microphone as well. It's fascinating and entertaining."

In addition to the performance, the audience will be treated to The Midwest Culinary Institute of Cincinnati State providing delectable desserts to treat your taste buds, and "Sweet Suspense" regular Bob Allen returns to direct.

Listen as Macy's Department Store comes to life in the Theatre of the Mind as you are whisked away to yesteryear in this radio adaptation of one of the most beloved retro Christmas tales. Listen as store manager Doris Walker frantically hires a replacement Santa for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Is he the real Kris Kringle, or just a sad, delusional man? Beliefs and sanity are tested when Kris is thrown into an asylum, but with the help of a friendly lawyer and the belief of a little girl, the true Spirit of Christmas endures.

Tickets are available online at CincyTicket.com or by calling 1.888.428.7311. All tickets are $35.00 for adults and $20.00 for children 12 and under.
