The Audition Craft, Presented by Nettles Artists Collective

"You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give." K. Gibran

The leaves are falling, turkey is in the air. 'Tis the season of giving: NOVEMBER IS PAY WHAT YOU CAN. This is an invitation to those of you who have been curious about this workshop and a thank you to those who have joined us before.

November 15th, 2-6pm @ 134 West 29th Street

Auditioning is both a JOB INTERVIEW and a chance for ARTISTIC EXPRESSION. How do you balance the two? Learn how to understand, embrace and master the BUSINESS of auditioning, without losing YOURSELF or your TALENT.

In this workshop we will work physically with the body, voice, breath and imagination to become free enough to focus and connect to the work, even under stressful circumstances.

* Are you aware of how you are perceived in the audition room?
* Can you be yourself? Or, do nerves take over?
* Do you have a solid and consistent way of warming up and preparing for auditions?
* Do you understand and embrace your role as more than an artist in the audition room?

All of these questions will be answered with useful tools you can apply on your own.

Everyone will work, both on the artistic and the business aspect of auditioning. Everyone will walk out feeling more confident about who they are as an artist and how to make that come across professionally.

How much: $5, $7.29, $43.68... $100... Pay whatever you can!(generally $65)

Location: Simple Studios
134 West 29th Street, 2nd Floor
