According to Us Magazine, actor Neil Patrick Harris and longtime partner David Burtka have announced that their twins have arrived home. Gideon Scott and Harper Grace were welcomed into the world Tuesday with the help of a surrogate.

"Babies!!" Harris wrote via Twitter. "On 10/12, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace entered the Burtka-Harris fold. All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey."

News of the expecting parents was announced in August. "So, get this: David and I are expecting twins this fall," Harris tweeted. "We're super excited/nervous/thrilled. Hoping the press can respect our privacy..."

At the Emmy's Harris told Ryan Seacrest, "I'm trying to read as much as I can, and prep as much as I can. But there's only so much you can do because each baby is super individual and totally their own person ... [I'm] very, very excited. It's the big, crazy calm before the ridiculous storm."

Harris currently appears on the sitcom, 'How I Met Your Mother,' but his Broadway credits include SWEENEY TODD, PROOF, CABARET and ASSASSINS. Burtka, no stranger to Broadway himself, appeared as Tulsa in the 2003 revival of GYPSY starring Bernadette Peters. Before that, in 2001, he won a Clarence Derwent Award for most promising male performer in Edward Albee's THE PLAY ABOUT THE BABY.
