Nancy Bogen will present the World Premiere of her slide-choreography video THE WASTE LAND on Monday, March 7 at 6:30 PM at Anthology Film Archives, 32 Second Ave. (corner of East 2nd St. and 2nd Ave.) in Manhattan.

Judith Barnes and Peter Ludwig are featured readers of T.S. Eliot's 1922 poem THE WASTE LAND, with video images chosen and choreographed by Ms. Bogen.

This illustrated reading is followed by a slide choreography of a piece of music by New York-based composer Richard Brooks, which acts as a curtain-call for the readers and visuals. Ms. Bogen will introduce the video.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 516-586-3433 or visit anthologyfilmarchives.org.

Nancy Bogen was the founder and Artistic Director of The Lark Ascending, a mixed-media performance organization, which ran from 1997 to 2008. One of the things she developed for this unique organization was what she termed a "slide-choreography," a meaningful marriage of music, poetry, and her unique visual imagery. She is creating a growing catalog of these videos, available for viewing here. More about her on Wikipedia.
