The original tap musical, Count To Ten, presented in this year's New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), sold out its October 17th performance on the first day tickets went on sale to the public. "We are excited", says Justin Boccitto, the show's Executive Producer, "there is so much interest in this new musical." Count To Ten follows the story of a tap-dancing writer whose Broadway ambitions are thwarted because his new musical lacks a real love story. Forced to develop the show at a performing arts camp full of spoiled, rich, and in some cases neglected stars of tomorrow, he finds he can no longer tap-dance around his issues and succumbs to the true call of his heart. Count to Ten is a cross-generational, dance-filled, upbeat musical everyone can "tap" into.

The production is written and directed by Michael Blevins (A Chorus Line/Tap Dance Kid) along with co-writers Beth Clary, Scott Knipe, Bruce Sacks and David Wollenberger. It also features the lighting design of Christopher Hoyt and costumes by Vangeli Kaseluris. Blevins, who also serves as Artistic Director for The Group Theatre Too (GTT), has been developing Count To Ten with GTT for over the last 2 years. Count To Ten's remaining performances are Thursday, October 15th at 8pm and Friday, October 16th at 1pm at The Theater at St. Clements located at 423 West 46th Street New York, NY 10036.
