NEW YORK FESTIVAL OF SONG presents the fifth and final Merkin Concert Series program of the 2011-12 season, titled NEW YORK TO PARIS, PARIS TO PARADISE on Sunday, March 11 at 4:00PM in The Music Room at Caramoor in Katonah, NY and Tuesday, March 13 at 8:00PM at Merkin Concert Hall in NYC.

New York to Paris, Paris to Paradise celebrates "the uniqueness of these two influential cities as well as the special relationship between their inhabitants and artists. Songs by French and American composers including Ned Rorem, Charles Trenet, Albert Roussel, George Gershwin, and numerous others, celebrate both towns—and take the audience on a quick journey to Africa and Asia too."

The program will feature four vocalists from Caramoor’s Terrance W. Schwab 2012 Vocal Rising Stars program: soprano Meredith Lustig, mezzo-soprano Kristin Hoff, tenor Brenton Ryan, and baritone Eugene Chan. These two concerts conclude NYFOS’s fourth annual NYFOS@Caramoor professional training residency. The Terrance W. Schwab Vocal Rising Stars Mentoring Program is a unique vocal residency for young singers that focuses on singing repertoire other than opera, including song recitals and vocal chamber music.

NYFOS has earned critical acclaim for its outside-the-box programming, high artistry and warm, informal atmosphere. Remaining events include the NYFOS Spring Gala on April 2, 2012 and the second NYFOS Next new music mini-series featuring Russell Platt and Friends on April 24, 2012.
