Geva Theatre Center is thrilled to announce that New York's 2 Ring Circus will feature in the opening production of the 2016-2017 ESL Wilson Stage Season, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Directed by Melissa Rain Anderson, with musical direction by Don Kot and choreography by Rommy Sandhu, the show begins on October 4 and runs through November 6.

Founded in 2011 and based in New York City, 2 Ring Circus is noted for taking their love of dance and musical theatre to the air to create a polished theatrical experience. In addition to their series of original productions, 2 Ring regularly collaborates with theatres around the country. Past collaborations include The Ghosts of Versailles with LA Opera, Carnival! at Goodspeed Opera House, The Tempest with Hartford Stage, The Little Mermaid with Arkansas Repertory Theatre directed by Melissa Rain Anderson and The Wizard of Oz with Fulton Theatre.

2 Ring is comprised of four members: Joshua Dean, Ben Franklin, Lani Corson and Kenneth Ziegler. Dean, Franklin and Ziegler will play "The Proteans," described in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as "only three men, but they do the work of thirty!" Their clowning, strength and acrobatic skills will be displayed to full and amazing effect! Corson will play the role of the courtesan Vibrata and will work with the aerial straps for an athletic routine high above the stage.

This production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is guaranteed to be fun and unique! The full cast and artistic team will be announced in September.
