SHOTGUN, NBC Sports Group's high-octane automotive quiz show that takes the meaning of 'riding shotgun' to a whole new level, will make its television debut this Saturday, November 19, at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, immediately following coverage of the NASCAR XFINITY Series Championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla.

NBCSN's coverage also features nearly 15 hours of Mecum Auctions coverage from Anaheim, Calif., beginning today at 4 p.m. ET, with an estimated 750 vehicles set to cross the auction block.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app - NBC Sports Group's live streaming platforms for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs - will provide streaming coverage this weekend's motorsports coverage.

NBC Sports Group's full-throttled automotive quiz show, Shotgun, tests contestants' skills at answering questions while riding in the passenger seat of a professional race car. Hosted by NASCAR on NBC's Rutledge Wood, the one-hour show invites six contestants to buckle in for THE RIDE of their lives and ride "shotgun" as professional drivers put the pedal to the medal around four different courses at Irwindale Speedway, in Irwindale, Calif.

As the cars race around the track and drift between obstacles, each contestant is asked trivia questions covering a range of topics from pop culture to geography. Contestants who answer the most questions correctly in each round will move on to the next race course. Each new course will feature unique challenges and a different race vehicle. The last contestant standing after all four rounds wins $25,000.

In a first-of-its-kind launch for NBC Sports Group, the eight-episode series debuted digitally - on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app - on Sunday, November 6, following NBC's NASCAR Sprint Cup race coverage from Texas Motor Speedway. An encore presentation of the show will air Sunday, December 11, on NBC.

As part of a presenting sponsorship, Shotgun features four different Toyota race cars. The cars include the Toyota 86, Toyota NASCAR Camry Stock Car, Toyota Formula D Car, and Toyota Tacoma, with each car used in a different round. Shotgun is the latest show in a series of initiatives between NBC Sports Group and Toyota. Previous projects have included NBC Sports' NASCAR Gridiron Challenge, prior to NBC's presentation of SUPER BOWL XLIX, and 18 Rising, which chronicled NASCAR driver Kyle Busch's comeback journey from a broken leg to the 2016 Sprint Cup Championship.

Shotgun is produced by Profiles TV's Bertram Van Munster and Elise Doganieri, creators of The Amazing Race.

High-profile AMERICAN MUSCLE cars, classics, Corvettes, Hot Rods, and much more will be on display at this weekend's Mecum Auctions event from Anaheim on NBCSN. Among the main attractions is a pair of 1968 Pontiac Firebirds featuring the rare Ram air option, as well as a 1957 Ford Thunderbird E-Code and a 1969 Shelby GT500 Fastback.

Live coverage begins today at 4 p.m. ET, and continues tomorrow with a pair of telecasts at 3:30 p.m. ET and 7:30 p.m. ET. Saturday's coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET, and NBCSN closes out the weekend from Anaheim on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.

Scott Hoke will host NBCSN's Mecum Auctions coverage on-site at the Anaheim Convention Center, alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, and Bill Stephens. Mecum Auctions is led by Dana Mecum, Founder and President of Mecum Auctions for the past 28 years.
