NBC News Enlists TODAY SHOW Team for 2014 Winter Olympics Coverage

When the XXII Olympic Winter Games kick off next week, NBC News will be on the ground in Sochi, Russia to provide comprehensive coverage across all broadcasts and platforms. Brian Williams, Lester Holt, and a team of correspondents will join Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, and the "TODAY" family to lead NBC News's reporting on the Games and other events happening around the world.

Brian Williams will anchor "NBC Nightly News" live from Sochi beginning Thursday, February 6. Lester Holt will co-host weekend editions of "TODAY" and anchor weekend editions of "NBC Nightly News," and will also anchor NBC's weekday afternoon Olympic coverage.

Correspondents contributing to coverage on NBC News and NBC Sports from Sochi include Richard Engel, Anne Thompson, Kevin Tibbles, Chris Jansing, Keir Simmons, Stephanie Gosk, and Dr. Nancy Snyderman, as well as Jim Maceda in Moscow.

NBCNews.com will have a dedicated reporter in Sochi who will preview the top events and stories each day, wrap up each night, and file profiles and color stories from the ground. The site will also carry NBC Sports coverage of events and ceremonies.
