Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will continue their 2014-2015 season with 1949's classic GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES.

The one-night-only concert will take place at the Moss Theatre at New Roads School in Santa Monica on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 7:00 pm.

Adapted from Anita Loo's novel of the same name, GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES features music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Leo Robin and a book by Joseph Fields and Anita Loos. The story takes place on board a ship taking Lorelei Lee, (Carol Channing making her Broadway debut in the original cast) and her traveling companion, Dorothy, to Paris. But even an ocean liner and The City of Lights can barely contain all of the hijinks Lorelei gets into. The classic score features "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend", "Bye, Bye Baby" and "Just A Little Girl From Little Rock".

Leading the cast as Lorelei and Dorothy are Melissa Fahn and Kim Huber. Also featured in the cast are MTG company members Chuck Bergman, Doug Carfrae, Will Collyer, Paul Keith, Damon Kirsche, Carol Kline, Marsha Kramer, Ashley Fox Linton, William Martinez, Kevin McMahon, Jeffrey Scott Parsons and Mark Reis with guest artists Jennifer Brasuell, Jane Papageorge and Mike Starr. GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES will be directed by Larry Raben, with choreography by Lee Martino, musical direction by Corey Hirsch and is under the production supervision of Zachary Ford and Mark Reis.

The MTG 2014-2015 season concludes on June 14, 2015 with Stephen Sondheim's most recent new work ROAD SHOW. The Moss Theatre at New Roads School is located at 3131 Olympic Blvd. in Santa Monica.
