Museum of the City of New York presents legendary Joel Grey in conversation with playwright Jon Robin Baitz, Monday, August 1 at 6:30 pm at the Museum of the City of New York 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street.  The evening will include a viewing of exhibition of Grey's Career, including his photograph.

A once-in-a-lifetime public program, on Monday, August 1 at 6:30 pm, will feature the Oscar, Tony, and Golden Globe-winning actor Joel Grey, in conversation with playwright Jon Robin Baitz. From his breakout role as the Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret (1966) to the Wizard in Wicked (2003) to Moonface Martin in this year's revival of Anything Goes, Joel Grey has been a New York icon. The program is presented in conjunction with Joel Grey/A New York Life, an exhibition currently on view at the Museum.

Jon Robin Baitz's plays include The Paris Letter, Ten Unknowns, Mizlansky/Zilinsky or Schmucks, A Fair Country, The Film Society, The Substance of Fire, The End of the Day. and Three Hotels. He has also written the screenplays for "The Substance of Fire" and "People I Know" as well as for TV's "Brothers & Sisters" (which he created), "The West Wing" and "Alias." His play, Other Desert Cities, played a sold-out run at Lincoln Center Theater last season and is scheduled to open on Broadway this fall.

Space is limited. Reservations are required. Ticket prices are $15 Museum members; $20 general admission. The public may call 917-492-3395 for reservations; a $2.00 surcharge will be applied to any "walk-in" visitors who do not reserve in advance.
