Monty Python's SPAMALOT to Play Metropolis This Fall

Metropolis continues its 15th Anniversary Season with the Tony Award winning musical comedy Monty Python's Spamalot September 10 - October 25, 2015.

Winner of three Tony awards, including Best Musical, this highly irreverent comedy combines all your favorite moments from the cult classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail with the added flair of musical Vegas glitz. See King Arthur, Lancelot and the rest on their quest to find the Holy Grail, complete with Frenchmen, Knights that say "Ni", and of course a killer rabbit. New York Times calls Monty Python's Spamalot, "a resplendently silly new musical." Full of fun musical numbers like "Find Your Grail", "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" and more.

Director Robin Hughes is working with a superb cast, including local cast members Joe Bianco and Phillip Kaiser of Elk Grove Village, and Taylor Ditola of Wood Dale.

Monty Python's Spamalot is the second show of the 15th Anniversary Season at Metropolis, bringing first class entertainment to the northwest suburbs. Other upcoming shows in the Subscription Series at Metropolis include the Olivier Award-winning comedy The 39 Steps (February 18 - April 3, 2016), Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Rent (May 19 - July 3, 2016) and the World Premiere musical Folsom: The Night The Man Became The Man In Black (July 21 - August 28, 2016).

Metropolis' cast for Monty Python's Spamalot includes Joe Bianco (King Arthur), Timothy Sullivan (Sir Robin), Kevin Lauerman (Sir Lancelot), Ryan J. Duncan (Patsy), Jameson Wentworth (Sir Galahad), Timothy Casey (Sir Bedevere), Mackenzie Curran (The Lady of the Lake) and Jack McFarlane (Historian, Not Dead Fred, French Guard, Minstrel, Prince Herbert) and Allie J. (Voice of God). The ensemble includes Taylor Ditola, Matthew Huston, Phillip Kaiser, Joseph Kuchey, Rachel Meloan, Jessica Miret, Allyssa O'Donnell, Joshua Peterson and Paul Michael Thomson.
