Mildred's Umbrella Theatre Company presents the Houston premiere of LATE: A COWBOY SONG by Sarah Ruhl, November 14-22, 2014 at 14 PEWS in collaboration with 14 PEWS, 800 Aurora St, Houston, TX 77009.

Directed by Bree Bridger, Late is the 3rd production in our four-part series, "The Women's Project," designed to promote women in the performing arts and raise awareness for local women's organizations. This production is proud to support AssistHers.

SYNOPSIS: "Mary, always late and always married, meets a lady cowboy outside the city limits of Pittsburgh who teaches her how to ride a horse. Mary's husband, Crick, buys a painting with the last of their savings. Mary and Crick have a baby, but they can't decide on the baby's name, or the baby's gender. A story of one woman's education and her search to find true love outside the box." - New Dramatists.

RAISING AWARENESS FOR: AssistHers, which is dedicated to creating a community of caregivers who provide support for lesbians living with disabilities or chronic illness so that they may live as normally as possible. Their programs are focused on educating lesbian women and others about important health issues, with special emphasis on lesbian-related health concerns and eradicating discrimination or barriers lesbians often face when accessing health and social service systems. www.assisthers.com
