CapLive, a program of the historic Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center in downtown York, welcomes Mike Doughty's World-Renowned, Award-Winning Question Jar Show to the Capitol Theatre on Friday, February 28 at 8:00 p.m. Mike Doughty is the newest addition to CapLive's eclectic 2013-14 season lineup of nationally-known acts and up-and-coming performers. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m.

In his World-Renowned, Award-Winning Question Jar Show, former Soul Coughing front man Mike Doughty picks audience questions and requests out of a jar - and his audience is wickedly good at coming up with extremely weird things to ask. After years of not playing the songs of the band he founded in the 90s, singer, songwriter, guitar player, poet and author Mike Doughty put together a show playing the best of Soul Coughing - "Super Bon Bon" and "Circles" among them.

Since his Soul Coughing days, Doughty has released five solo albums, some EPs, a couple of live albums and The Book Of Drugs, a memoir about that time he was in Soul Coughing. "My memoir, The Book of Drugs, was a big, fat ball of darkness," says Doughty. "I wanted to figure out who I was, where I was and what I meant when I wrote those songs - and what, back then, I originally wanted them to sound like."

Tickets are $19.00 and go on sale to the general public Friday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online at www.StrandCapitol.org, by calling the Strand-Capitol box office at 717-846-1111, or at the door the evening of the show.

Also coming up in 2014, CapLive presents Todd Snider with special guest Kevin Gordon on Monday, January 6.
