Students can apply to experience a summer of free opera!

2014 Merola Opera Program Student Membership Program will provide Bay Area high school and college students with free tickets to our summer operas, master classes and events in San Francisco this June, July and August. Each membership receives two tickets - one for the member and one for a guest.

Applications are accepted from currently enrolled high school sophomores, juniors and seniors and college undergraduates and graduates

The application deadline is rapidly approaching - April 18th!

This is a perfect opportunity for students with an interest in the arts, music and theatre. In addition, those selected for the program can receive a letter of participation from Merola, which is useful for admission and scholarship applications.

You may find information plus an on-line application by visiting the Merola Student Membership webpage at http://merola.org/student.

For 56 years, the Merola Opera Program has been regarded as the world's foremost opera training program for aspiring singers, coaches and stage directors. As the affiliated training program of the San Francisco Opera, Merola has served as a proving ground for hundreds of artists, including such renowned opera performers as Ruth Ann Swenson, Deborah Voigt, Anna Netrebko, Patricia Racette, Thomas Hampson, Joyce DiDonato. Carol Vaness, Rolando Villazón and Susan Graham among many others

This program only provides tickets to Merola Opera Program summer productions and events and does not provide any kind of training or studies. We do not provide tickets to San Francisco Opera performances.
