Eve Enseler's new play O.P.C. -- short for 'Obsessive Political Correctness' -- comes to American Repertory Theatre this fall and continues into A.R.T.'s winter season, running November 28, 2014 through January 4, 2015. Directed by Pesha Rudnick, the show will star Melissa Leo and Olivia Thirlby.

A.R.T.'s official description reads: "A new play from Eve Ensler, the author of The Vagina Monologues, O.P.C. is an exploration of consumption and politics that asks, 'How are we to survive as a species if we insist on destroying the world we love?' A dumpster-diving freegan (Olivia Thirlby, Juno) is doing just fine squatting in an abandoned apartment, but when her mother (Melissa Leo, The Fighter), a candidate running for the Senate, tries to make her toe the party line, radicalism comes into collision with mainstream liberalism. Mother and daughter wrestle with the inconvenient truths at the heart of consumer culture, tossed between political compromise and 'obsessive political correctness.'"

Ensler's plays include Emotional Creature, The Vagina Monologues, Extraordinary Measures and more. She won the 2011 Isabelle Stevenson Award at the 65th Tony Awards.

Leo has appeared on TV in the upcoming series Wayward Pines as well as Treme, Mildred Pierce, Law & Order, The L Word, All My Children and Homicide: Life on the Street. She was nominated for an Academy Award for her performances in the 2008 film Frozen River and 2010's The Fighter.

Thirlby is best known for her roles in the movies Juno, The Darkest Hour and Dredd. She made her stage debut in Atlantic Theater Company's Farragut North in 2008, followed by Lonely, I'm Not at Second Stage in 2012.
