Mel B and Kelly Monaco Join Jerry Mitchell's Upcoming Vegas Based 'PEEP SHOW'!

Tickets are on sale today for preview and regular performances of PEEPSHOW, the sexy new production set to open at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. PEEPSHOW, starring pop superstar and television personality Mel B., will open for preview performances on March 30, 2009, with an opening night gala planned for April 18 of 2009.

In addition to pop sensation Mel B. who will originate the role as the mistress of ceremonies, the "Peep Diva," sultry television siren Kelly Monaco will take the stage as "Bo Peep," a timid girl who the Diva guides in her transformation into a confident, sensual woman.

PEEPSHOW is a modern burlesque show created specifically for the dynamic, glamorous audience that exists only in the adult playground of Las Vegas.  A highly stylized, full-throttle production show that combines sexy striptease and celebrity with high-level production values and a dash of passion, PEEPSHOW is a collaboration between Tony award-winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell and Las Vegas entertainment pacesetter Base Entertainment.

"PEEPSHOW has been a dream of mine for a long time and now that dream is coming true," said Mitchell.  "We have gathered 20 of the sexiest dancers from film, video, and Broadway to bring a truly American form of entertainment back to the strip. With a plan to feature celebrities that will play multiple month engagements, PEEPSHOW will open in March 2009 with TV personality and chart-topping musical artist Mel B., a member of the world sensation Spice Girls as the show's mistress of ceremonies, the "Peep Diva," a bold, sexy icon of female empowerment with all the answers, who guides the timid "Bo Peep," portrayed by "Dancing With the Stars" first season champion and "General Hospital" star Kelly Monaco, on her search for love.

Mel B. and Jerry Mitchell have had a long-standing relationship and worked closely together in perfecting her role as "Diva."  "I'm thrilled to partner with Jerry Mitchell and Base Entertainment, a team known for creating some of the most spectacular shows in Las Vegas," said Mel B. "Because I'm coming out as a solo artist next year, I feel this show is putting me back in an arena that I'm most comfortable in and love doing most, which is performing and entertaining on stage."

Through many years of producing, directing, and choreographing his iconic annual event Broadway Bares in New York City, Mitchell has perfected the art of contemporary burlesque and modern strip tease -- with PEEPSHOW he will bring it to life onstage in true Vegas style at Planet Hollywood.

In addition to choreography and direction from the venerated Mitchell, acclaimed designer David Rockwell is lending his talents to the show by designing the lavish sets and Showroom, creating a custom environment befitting the naughty fairytale world of PEEPSHOW.  Tony award-winning designer Gregg Barnes is also aboard, creating seductive costumes that will help blur the line between PEEPSHOW and reality.  To top it all off, the show will be backed by a powerhouse all-female band pumping out an engaging, contemporary soundtrack.

PEEPSHOW is a story of sexuality and empowerment told through dance and contemporary popular music, featuring the "Peep Diva," a bold and powerful woman with all the answers, who guides the timid "Bo," a modern woman who has yet to find her own power and sexuality, on a swift journey of awakening and self-discovery during which she's inspired through sensual awareness and blossoms into a sexy, daring, provocative and more confident woman.

As the show begins we meet Bo with a short black and white film. Weary and defeated she falls asleep reading a book. When we zoom in on the book we discover she has fallen asleep reading a beautifully illustrated book of rhymes and fairy tales.  And suddenly she tumbles onto the stage entering the colorful world of PEEPSHOW.

Bo is whisked away by the Diva, whose powerhouse voice and supreme confidence carry a score of popular music and fuel high-end production numbers that are derived from popular fairy tales all told with a naughty twist.  It is the Diva who shows Bo a trick or two about life, men and love transforming the bookish girl into confident, sexy woman.

Ticket prices: Tickets range from $65 - $100 + tax, with a VIP package available at $165 + tax per person. The VIP package includes premium seating at one of the PEEPSHOW cabaret tables and includes tableside bottle service.

Perez Hilton reported earlier that Spice Girl Melanie "Mel B" Brown, a former 'Mimi' in Broadway's RENT was joining the Las Vegas based, sit-down version of Jerry Mitchell's BROADWAY BARES, PEEP SHOW.

BROADWAY BARES 18: WONDERLAND was an astounding success raising a record shattering $874,372 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. 

The previous record was set in 2007, with $743, 787 raised. The first "Broadway Bares" – at which founder Mitchell (Legally Blonde, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Hairspray) and six friends danced for tips at a bar in Chelsea - raised $8,000 in 1991. Since then, 18 editions of "Broadway Bares" have collectively raised over $4. 8 million to benefit BC/EFA.
