McKechnie Appears on 'Kentertainment Report' 10/13

Tony-award winning star Donna McKechnie will join host Ken Kleiber for his "Kentertainment Report", today, Wednesday October 13 at 12:15pm on Sirius 109/ XM 98. Ms. McKechnie will be speaking about her career and upcoming events, including "Sondheim Unplugged" and "My Musical Comedy Life", (both at the Laurie Beecham Theatre with the latter also at the Palais Royale in Indiana), and "From Broadway With Love", a evening benefitting "Animal Protection of New Mexico" which also features Kaye Ballard and Liliane Montevecchi.

"The Kentertainment Report" is a weekly featured segment of "The Frank DeCaro Show" on Sirius/XM Radio and is hosted by Ken Kleiber of TV/internet's long-running "That's Kentertainment!" interview/variety show.


Donna McKechnie:
Tony Award-winning star of A CHORUS LINE, Ms. McKechnie is regarded internationally as one of Broadway's foremost dancing and singing stars. Her cabaret show, MY MUSICAL COMEDY LIFE, which received unanimous raves from New York theater critics, won a MAC AWARD NOMINATION for Best Female Singer and the BACKSTAGE BISTRO AWARD for Outstanding Major Engagement. Donna enjoyed one of her greatest triumphs as Sally in the acclaimed revival of FOLLIES in the spring of 1998.

Some of Ms. McKechnie's Broadway credits include: HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING; A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM (national tour); THE EDUCATION OF Hyman Kaplan; SONDHEIM - A MUSICAL TRIBUTE (which she also choreographed); ON THE TOWN; PROMISES, PROMISES; COMPANY and STATE FAIR for which she received the Fred Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer for the 1995-1996 season.
In 2001, Donna received a nomination for an OVATION AWARD for Best Featured Actress (MACK and MABEL) from the LA Theater Alliance League.
Donna has performed extensively on the concert stage, in cabaret and with symphony orchestras. She made her opera debut in December 1996, guest starring in the San Francisco Opera's production of DIE FLEDERMAUS.

She has appeared as a guest star in numerous television musical specials and dramatic series including FAME, CHEERS, FAMILY TIES, TWIRL and DARK SHADOWS. Donna portrayed The Rose in the film, THE LITTLE PRINCE.

"THAT'S KENTERTAINMENT!," which was profiled in the newly-published "Official Celebrity Handbook", is a variety/talk show which features celebrities from around the world. The show had the distinction of being the first in the world to be granted interviews with Liza Minnelli post-David Gest and with Rosie O'Donnell post-"The View". Recently featured in the NEW YORK TIMES, TIME OUT NEW YORK, NEXT, UK's REFRESH MAGAZINE, the CHICAGO TRIBUNE, the BLADE, LAS VEGAS TODAY, deemed "Hysterical!" by Liz Smith, and seen on ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT and Ireland's FAME GAME, THAT'S KENTERTAINMENT! was also ranked as one of HX Magazine's "101 Reasons to Love New York". Host Ken Kleiber has been a featured guest on numerous radio programs, and hosts the weekly "Kentertainment Report!" on SIRIUS/XM SATELLITE RADIO. In addition to being a host, critic and writer, Ken is a performer, videographer/editor, and was recently nominated for an Independent Directing Award (Short Form Video), was the Chief Entertainment Writer for "FashionTribes" magazine, and is a member of the Outer Critics Circle.
