McCarter Theatre Accepts Signups for Children Ages 5-13 for A CHRISTMAS CAROL; Deadline 9/25

McCarter Theatre has announced online sign ups are now open through September 25 for the theater's annual holiday production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

McCarter seeks boys and girls ages 5 to 13 to play a variety of roles including the Cratchit family and Tiny Tim. All children are encouraged to audition, regardless of their level of previous acting experience. The theater is actively seeking children of all ethnicities.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, October 6. No auditions will be given without an appointment. Callbacks will be held on Monday, October 14. Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, November 14. Performances begin Friday, December 6 (first preview) and conclude on Sunday, December 29.

Broadway veteran Graeme Malcolm returns to the role of Ebenezer Scrooge to lead a talented cast of 40 actors, dancers, and singers through this magical holiday tale.

Join Ebenezer Scrooge on his magical journey through Christmas past, present, and future, and experience the show that embodies the peace and goodwill of the season. Michael Unger directs McCarter's production of this cherished family tradition, with scenery by the legendary set designer Ming Cho Lee and costumes by Jess Goldstein. The perennial favorite The New York Times calls "A Must-See," has become a delightful holiday tradition for the whole family!
