Grammy-nominated artist Matisyahu returns with his Festival of Light tour, November 30-December 9, 2013. An annual Hannukah event now in its seventh year, Matisyahu's Festival of Light is a unique collection of tour dates celebrating the Jewish holiday during the winter months. Matisyahu's Festival of Light performances will feature sets that include material spanning his entire career.

To kick off his Festival of Light performances, Matisyahu will headline the XRT Holiday Concert for the Kids at Chicago's Riviera Theatre, where $1 from each ticket purchased will benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. The Festival of Light comes on the heels of Matisyahu's succesful summer tour with Rebelution; please see below for a list of dates. Matisyahu's celebrated Hanukkah songs "Miracle" and "Happy Hanukkah" can be streamed at http://snd.sc/1axsaa5 and http://snd.sc/14NgXDs, respectively.

Matisyahu is touring while at work on his sixth full-length studio album, expected by summer 2014. Of the record, produced by Stu Brooksand Joel Hamilton and featuring Brooklyn group Dub Trio, Matisyahu notes, "This record is a document of my spiritual, artistic and personal evolution. It takes the religious ideas I have studied and connects them to my heart. It is my most intimate work to date and I believe it will resonate strongly in the hearts of those who listen." The forthcoming album follows Matisyahu's latest release Spark Seeker, which was produced by Kool Kojak (Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha) and hailed as "inspired" by Rolling Stone and "riveting" by American Songwriter; upon its release the record debuted in the Billboard Top 20. Known for his innovative blend of reggae, rock, hip-hop and traditional Jewish themes, Matisyahu has garnered critical acclaim and established an extensive fan base since his 2004 debut Shake off the Dust...Arise.

Spark Seeker was Matishayu's first album since he relocated from Crown Heights in Brooklyn to Los Angeles with his family in 2011, a year which also saw the singer shave his noteworthy beard. The album followed the release of 2005's Live at Stubb's, which reached #1 onBillboard's Heatseekers chart, 2006's Youth, which debuted at #4 on Billboard's Top 200 and reached #1 on the Reggae Albums chart and 2009's Light, which reached #1 on the Reggae Albums chart and stayed in the top spot for 34 weeks. Both Live at Stubb's and Youth were nominated for Grammy Awards for Best Reggae Album.
