Jazz vocalist and wife of Latin superstar Ruben Blades, Luba Mason has joined Kerry Butler and Deidre Goodman in the NYMF production of PANDORA'S BOX. Mason appeared on Broadway in Sunset Blvd, How to Succeed... with Matthew Broderick, Jekyll and Hyde,  Chicago (co-starring Brooke Shields) and The Capeman where she met her husband.

Most recently, Luba released her  CD, KRAZY LOVE, a rich musical travelogue that explores the arc of modern day relationships and infuses them with Luba's love for the music of Brazil. KRAZY LOVE continues the critically-acclaimed Mason's foray into the realm of contemporary crossover jazz vocals.

In PANDORA'S BOX, Mason portrays Marilynn, an aging prostitute who is able to convince serial philandering Oliver (James Patrick Stuart)  that his wife Pandora is his one, great love and he has to do anything he can to win her back.

Composer Glen Roven said, "I call this part the Grizabella part: one scene in the second act, one of the best songs, and you stop the show. We're all thrilled Luba has joined our cast."

Also in the cast are: Traci Blair, Cristy CandlerMark Chmiel, Carolyn Doherty, Tina Johnson, Michael Ruocco and Matthew Schechter.
