Marcia Gay Harden, Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Garner Set for BACK ROADS Film

According to Variety, stage veterans Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Garner and Marcia Gay Harden are set to star in Back Roads.  The film is based on  the novel of the same title by Tawni O'Dell. Adrian Lyne is on board to direct.

In the film, Garfield will play a brother who cares for his younger sisters while his motheris in jail. Harden will play his therapist, and Garner his neighbor love interest.

In 1993, Harden debuted on Broadway in the role of Harper Pitt (and others) in Tony Kushner's Angels in America. The role earned her critical acclaim and she received a Tony Award nomination (Best Featured Actress in a Play). In 2009, Harden received a Tony Award for the Broadway play God of Carnage.

Garner made her Broadway debut on November 1, 2007, playing Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac alongside Kevin Kline at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway. In 2004, Garfield won a MEN Theatre Award for his performance in Kes at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre (where he also played Romeo the year after), and won the outstanding newcomer award at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2006
