Tony and Emmy Award-winner Mandy Patinkin, accompanied by Paul Ford on piano, will bring his critically acclaimed show "Mandy Patinkin: IN CONCERT" to the Duke of York's Theatre in London for nine performances only from 8 - 18 January 2009.

Mandy Patinkin won a Tony Award for his 1980 Broadway debut as ‘Che' in "Evita" and was again nominated in 1984 for his starring role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning "Sunday in the Park with George". His solo concerts, "Mandy Patinkin in Concert", "Celebrating Sondheim" and "Mamaloshen" have been presented on Broadway and on tour in the United States and internationally. Mandy's last appearance on the London stage was when he played a sold-out engagement at the Almeida Theatre in 1996.

In 1995, Mandy won an Emmy Award for his performance in the television series "Chicago Hope", and most recently starred in the television series "Criminal Minds" as FBI profiler ‘Jason Gideon'. His films have included "The Princess Bride", "Yentl", "Ragtime", "The Doctor", "Alien Nation", "Dick Tracy", "The House on Carroll Street" and "True Colours".
"Mandy Patinkin: IN CONCERT" is a musical celebration of the great songwriters such as Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Randy Newman etc. Accompanist, Paul Ford, was the original pianist for the Broadway productions of "Passion", "Into the Woods", "Sunday in the Park with George" and, most recently, the revivals of "Pacific Overtures" and "Assassins".

Performances at the Duke of York's Theatre will be at 7.30pm on 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17 and 18 January only. Ticket prices range from £25.00 - £35.00 and are available from the box office on 0870 060 6623 or at www.theambassadors.com.

"Mandy Patinkin: IN CONCERT" will be presented at the Duke of York's Theatre by Dodger Properties and Staci Levine, in cooperation with the Ambassador Theatre Group.
