MYTHBUSTERS Jamie & Adam UNLEASHED! Set for State Theatre, 11/18

The all-new live show MythBusters Jamie & Adam UNLEASHED!, starring Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, co-hosts of the Emmy-nominated Discovery Channel series "MythBusters," debuts at the State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015. The evening of on-stage experiments, audience participation and behind-the-scenes stories showcases the duo's ingenious approach to answering scientific curiosities with mind-blowing special effects. MythBusters Jamie & Adam UNLEASHED! brings fans face-to-face with the curious world of co-hosts Hyneman and Savage as they match wits with each other and the audience. One of the most highly regarded and watched series on the Discovery Channel, "MythBusters" is now in its 13th season. The show mixes scientific method with gleeful curiosity and old-fashioned ingenuity to create its own signature style of explosive experimentation - including the de-bunking of urban myths.

Hyneman and Savage have become spokespersons at large for applying science to real life - most recently as hosts of the Discovery Channel's special "iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World." They have also appeared on numerous TV shows including "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Good Morning America," "The Colbert Report" and NPR's "All Things Considered."

In 2010, Hyneman and Savage received the Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in Cultural Humanism from the Harvard Secular Society. In 2009, they were inducted as honorary members into Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society. They were both bestowed honorary Doctorates at the University of Twente in the Netherlands for their popularizing science.

Since 2012, Jamie and Adam have toured North America, Australia and New Zealand with their live show. To date, they have performed in 108 cities, given 119 performances, more than 200,000 people have seen them onstage and the tour grossed more than $12 million. This fall, the tour will perform 31 dates across the U.S. and Canada.

MythBusters Jamie & Adam UNLEASHED! is set for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at the State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave.). Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday, May 8 and range from $49.50 to $79.50 depending on seating preference. There are a limited number of Meet & Greet packages on sale for $148.50 that includes a post show meet and greet and an autographed photo. All prices include applicable facility fees.
