Mostly Sondheim, The Duplex's long-running Friday night open mic honoring the music of the theater, concludes its record-breaking 12 year run this Friday, April 1st at 11:30pm.

Currently hosted by Brian Nash, Colleen Harris, and Emily McNamara, the free late-night open mic has, in its over-12 year run, played host to approximately 30,000 performances over 2,500 hours. Nominated for three MAC Awards, Mostly Sondheim has been the premier late night hangout for the musical theatre community since 2004.

Past hosts for the evening include Ben Cameron, Marty Thomas, Todd Buonapone, Brandon Cutrell, Molly Pope, Michael Buchanan, Michelle Dowdy, Kate Pazakis, Eric Michael Krop, Danny Calvert, Lena Hall, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jason Michael Snow, Marissa Rosen, William Blake, Shanna Sharp, Drew Wutke, Garrit Guadan, and David Austin.

The final Mostly Sondheim will include special performances from past and current hosts, as well as audience performances.

BRIAN J. NASH was most recently the Music Director of Classic Stage Company's Mother Courage and Her Children and the pre-Broadway Chicago run of Beaches. Brian was also the Music Director and Orchestrator of the off-Broadway hit, SILENCE! The Musical and produced Bare:The Musical at New World Stages. Recent and upcoming theater: Kathy Najimy's Lift Up Your Skirt (off-Broadway, 2016), The Last 5 Years (Actor's Theatre of Lousiville, Asolo Rep) Cinderella:The Real True Story (2nd Stage), Crossing Brooklyn (Transport Group), Amandine, Writing Arthur at NAMT (with Kelli O'Hara and Ana Gasteyer), But I'm A Cheerleader (NYMF) , and A Broadway Diva Christmas (off-Bway, Julia Miles Theatre). Concert work includes: Deborah Cox, Andy Bell (Erasure), Natalie Douglas (Lincoln Center, Birdland), Tonya Pinkins, Natalie Joy Johnson, Laura Benanti, Sarah Sties, Lena Hall, Molly Pope, and many others. EMILY MCNAMARA has performed most recently in Gettin' The Band Back Together at George Street Playhouse. New York credits include: NEWSical The Musical, The Awesome 80's Prom (also co-wrote), My Big Gay Italian Wedding, My First Time, Minimum Wage, The Karaoke Show, The Groove Factory (NYMF), Fantasy Football: The Musical? (NYMF). Regional favorites include: Little Shop Of Horrors, Fiddler On The Roof, Dreamgirls, Godspell, Smokey Joe's Cafe, and Chicago. Emily is also known for her various nightclub performances as a comic and host. She performs regularly at The York Theatre, 54 Below, Joe's Pub, The Laurie Beechman Theater, and at her MAC award nominated show, Mostly Sondheim at The Duplex. She was recently recognized by Time Out New York as one of the "top ten local women every gay man should know-and be obsessed with."

COLLEEN HARRIS is a performer, composer, and teacher whose work with theaters, circuses, and museums has been seen across the country. After receiving her MFA from the American Conservatory Theater, Colleen focused on new and devised cabaret and interdisciplinary work, travelling with clown troupe Infinite Stage and circus troupe Girls on Trapeze. Her original music has been commissioned by the Smithsonian, the University of Maryland, and the College of Marin. Her band SIREN has headlined at Joe's Pub, the Iridium Jazz Club, and the Ice Palace. Colleen's band, Siren, has been featured on NewNowNext, and their viral cover of RuPaul's "Sissy That Walk" gained them an international fan base. sirenmusicnyc.com
