Restaurants from Tribeca to NoMad are celebrating their star ratings in the MICHELIN Guide New York City 2015, arguably the world's most famous guide to dining out, which was published today.

Ichimura at Brushstroke, the Tribeca sushi bar led by acclaimed Sushi Chef Eiji Ichimura and owned by David Bouley and Yoshiki Tsuji (the president of Japan's largest professional cooking school), was upgraded to 2 stars. It is one of only two Japanese restaurants in New York to be awarded 2 stars, along with Soto. Japanese restaurants awarded one star in this year's guide include 15 East, the Union Square-area restaurant from One Five Hospitality, and Brushstroke, the Japanese kaiseki restaurant adjacent to Ichimura and also owned by David Bouley and Yoshiki Tsuji.

Juni, the boutique restaurant on East 31st Street from Chef Shaun Hergatt that celebrates food at the peak of its seasonality and freshness, has earned its first star. Chef Hergatt and his team are extremely honored to achieve this feat after opening Juni, which is inspired by their search for new products, ingredients, textures and flavors, in August 2013.
