Anna Kustera presents Mba Fabrications Inc. at CONTEXT Art Miami, Booth E44.
This year at CONTEXT Art Miami, Canadian artist Donald Ian McCaw will be interacting with visitors in the role of a businessman who hates art but loves making money. McCaw will explain how his company, Mba Fabrications Inc., creates its brightly colored paintings in a factory (rather than a studio), using unskilled employees (rather than artists), on the basis of focus group research (rather than inspiration). Of course, the whole story is a complete "fabrication", and visitors will actually be participating in a real-time performance piece...whether they realize it or not.The CONTEXT | Art Miami Pavilion
