School and amateur licensing for Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's hit musical MARY POPPINS is now available exclusively through Music Theatre International (MTI).

The stage production is based on P.L. Travers' cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film and includes the film's Academy Award®-winning music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman. MARY POPPINS was created, in collaboration with Cameron Mackintosh, by Academy Award®-winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes, who wrote the book; Olivier Award-winning director Richard Eyre; and the Olivier Award-winning team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who composed new songs and additional music and lyrics.

MARY POPPINS opened in London in 2004 and established itself as one of the biggest stage musical successes to emerge in recent years, launching fourteen productions on three continents. The Tony Award®-winning Broadway production, which ran for more than six years at The New Amsterdam Theatre, was the longest-running show of the 2006-2007 season and the 21st longest-running show in Broadway history.

Resources available for MARY POPPINS licensees include recorded orchestra tracks, a choreography manual and DVD with instructions on how to re-create original Broadway dances by Matthew Bourne and Stephen Mear, a production handbook, and two orchestration options.

Those interested in obtaining school or amateur rights and materials should contact Musical Theatre International (MTI) www.mtishows.com, (212) 541-4684.
