Martha Cipolla for President! has announced the final performance of its debut run at The Peoples Improv Theater (the PIT).

On Thursday, February 2, at 9:30, Martha and her campaign staff will sing, dance, and troll-doll their way through a presidential campaign against the platform-less Democrat Governor White, an experience audiences have described as "terrific," "joke-packed," and "inspirational."

Martha Cipolla is a 35-year-old kindergarten teacher who only uses the Internet for Pinterest, but is introduced to the world of online activism through a chance encounter with Facebook. She can't believe the world is so awful and wants to fix it-so she decides to put together a campaign staff and run for president of the United States. Because how hard can it be to get people to vote in the best interests of all of humanity?

Tickets are just $1 with any student ID at the door (advance tickets available online for $5).

Written by Martha Cipolla (The Austen Family Improv Players; Berklee College of Music) and Ana Defillo (Hello Giggles) and directed by Nicco Aeed (Room 4, Marina & Nicco).

Featuring Anthony Gabriele, Billy Soco, Kevin Necciai, Lexi Orphanos, Shongedzai Matagira, Ana Defillo, and Martha Cipolla, with piano by Satoko Mori, music direction from Kevin Necciai, choreography by Jewel Elizabeth, technical direction by Michael Montalbano, and photos and video by No Future Photography.

Writer, performer, and producer MARTHA CIPOLLA is the creator of The Austen Family Improv Players, which the New York Times called a "favorite" and Time Out New York selected as a critics' pick. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she has been featured in comedy festivals around the Northeast.

Writer, performer, and producer ANA DEFILLO's pop culture writing has appeared in Hello Giggles, Complex, and The Frisky. She is one-third of sketch trio 3KC with Kate Moran and Keisha Zollar.

Director NICCO AEED recently completed the first-ever playwriting residency at the Peoples Improv Theater with Marina & Nicco, which included an extended run of New York Times Critic Pick Room 4.
