Tony Award® winner Beth Leavel, now starring in Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! on Broadway, will be featured on the American Theatre Wing's televised "Working in the Theatre" series on a "Leading Ladies 2009" panel this Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 5:00p on CUNY - TV (Channel 75 in the New York metropolitan area).

For the first episode of the season, the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League teamed up to present a "Leading Ladies" panel also featuring Tony Award® winners Laura Benanti (Gypsy, currently appearing in In the Next Room, or The Vibrator Play), Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, currently appearing in The Addams Family) and Alice Ripley (Next to Normal).

The episode will debut on CUNY TV on Sunday, October 25th at 5:00 p.m. (subsequent airings on Friday, October 30th at 9:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 31st at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday, November 1st at 5:00 p.m.). The program will also be available online at americantheatrewing.org/wit/ and iTunes.com beginning Wednesday, October 28th.

Beth Leavel recently starred as "the Witch" in Into the Woods at Pittsburgh CLO, "Miss Hannigan" in Annie at the St. Louis MUNY as well as the world premiere musical Minsky's at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles and in City Center Encores! production of No, No, Nanette.

She received 2006 Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critic's Circle and Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle awards for her title role performance in The Drowsy Chaperone. She has appeared in the Broadway musicals Young Frankenstein, 42nd Street (original and revival), The Civil War, Showboat and the original company of Crazy for You.
