MAMA AND HER BOYS Extends Through May 7 at Sophie's at Broadway; Original Cast to Return

Due to overwhelming ticket demand the critically acclaimed musical Mama and Her Boys has again extended its return New York engagement. Tickets are now on sale through May 7. Performances continue Wednesdays at 8:30pm at Sophies at Broadway, 318 W. 53rd St. between 8th and 9th Avenue.

All three creators and original cast members Ethan Paulini, Christopher Sidoli and Wendy Watson will appear on April 23.

On May 7, Paulini and Watson will be joined by original New York cast member Erik Keiser. The current cast also includes Sarah Kleeman and Steven Boyd Baker. Paulini directs and choreographs with musical direction by Lilli Wosk. Sidoli serves as musical consultant and Tony nominee Linda Kline serves as script consultant. The score features contributions from Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, Drew Overcash, Sally Fingerett and Tony nominee Lucy Simon. The run is produced by CEW Productions and Sophies.

This is the second Off-Broadway engagement following last years' sold out, extended run that premiered February 18, 2013 and continued for 14 weeks through May 6. The run featured guest Broadway and NYC stars such asChristina Sajous, Nicole Lewis, Bethany Moore, Tracee Beazer, Tory Ross, Eric Riley, Paige Turner and 3 time Emmy nominee Colleen Zenk.

Featuring an eclectic mix of music from virtually all dramas, this funny and poignant musical explores the dynamic relationship between mothers, sons and families. Mama and Her Boys premiered in January of 2011. Following critical and commercial success it has enjoyed engagements all over the Northeast and has been enjoyed over 200 performances for thousands of theatregoers including an open ended run in Provincetown, MA from June-October, 2011.
