Woodell, an accomplished writer and Sunday school teacher for more than 35 years, draws from her own childhood experience to teach readers to believe in themselves.

Dolly Woodell was born in a log cabin on the waters of Stony Creek, W.V. She married at age 17 and traveled around the United States and Japan with her active-duty husband. She received her high school diploma at 45 and went on to acquire a bachelor's degree in English and art.
